Although it can be successfully played by massing infantry, at least in singleplayer, a few tricks will make your singleplayer experience easier and also teach you some basics of the game. Unlike other Paradox games where the larger army usually means victory, Hearts of Iron IV is much more complex.
This guide assumes you have finished the in-game tutorial with Italy.
